From the keyboard of Lee Schearer,

Edison of Success

Thomas Alva Edison responded after being asked about all his failed attempts to create the light bulb, "If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward." Regardless of our business, each day we attempt something new. It can be as simple as changing the location of a display or as complex as entering a new market.

Every experience should be a learning experience. In attempting something new and the result is not what was expected, if nothing is learned from the experience, this is a failure.

I encourage you to invite a fellow business owner to experience the excitement and enthusiasm that is demonstrated each week at the Chapel Hill Leads Group. This Wednesday I hope you bring a smile on you face, an open mind and a commitment learning what works.

Respectfully,

Orlando P. Metcalf III
