From the keyboard of Lee Schearer,

Charity

By definition the word charity is " Donations or generous actions to aid the poor, ill and helpless" Random House Webster's College Dictionary.

This coming Friday , May the 14th you will have an opportunity to not only talk the talk, but walk the walk. This Friday, May the 14th you can live up to the challenge of helping someone less fortunate that yourself. This Friday May the 14th, you can make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate that yourself.

I invite you to join your fellow members of the Chapel Hill Leads Group at "A Southern Season", as we celebrate our semi-annual "Food Drive" for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Last August, with your help, the members of the Chapel Hill Leads Group provided over 225 pounds of food and $1,796.17 in cash offerings, which provided 7,823 meals to those in need. With your help, we can reach our goal of 10,000 meals. Also, please remember to bring a box of cereal to the meeting this Wednesday morning.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday morning, with a smile on your face, a song on your mind and gratitude for the blessing of the opportunity to live in this wonderful country, America.

Respectfully,

Lee Schearer
