This Week's Speaker:

This Wednesday, 15 February is an Open Networking Meeting at the Chapel Hill Leads Group. Take this opportunity to develop one new relationship. Introduce yourself to someone attending the CHLG for the first time. Expand your CHLG network by connecting with an existing CHLG member for the first time. Make an effort to get to know them and how you can help their business grow.

See you there.

Bring plenty of Business Cards

If you missed last Wednesday's meeting ...

In this day and age, there are more options than ever for building a strong financial plan. Between IRA’s, 401(k)’s, Annuities, and other strategies, it can often be hard to know what is the best course of actions. Naturally everyone is going to have an opinion of what is best for you, but the reality is only you know what is best. Rather that tell you what you should do, I aim to educate you so that we can make the best possible decision to ensure that your goals are met with the highest degree of success. Was an annuity really the best way to go? Often a second opinion can reveal new insights that you or your existing advisor may not have considered. So whether you want to begin to pay yourself first, or get a second opinion on an existing plan, let’s sit down and take a look. Coffee is always on me, Skyler Borgman CFA, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Did You Know:

Construction Alert! - Beginning Monday, 25 April 2016, the city of Chapel Hill will begin road improvements in and around the intersection of Ephesus Church Road and Fordham Boulevard! As the construction progresses, members may wish to find an alternate route to the Chapel Hill Leads Group meeting, thus avoiding the road work.

"Duty, Honor, Country"

"Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are the rallying points; to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when-there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn." ~General Douglas MacArthur

As we live our daily lives, may we consider these three words as our guide to being better citizens of the world. Duty to our communities and fellow man, Honor to be bestowed on those who deserve it, our loved ones and our God, and Country, to be proud citizens of this great land we call our home America.

I hope to see you this Wednesday morning, with a smile on your face, a patriotic song on your mind and pride in being an American Citizen

Support the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina

Congratulations CHLG Members for having such big hearts! In 2016 the CHLG members donated 3,392 lbs. or 3,789 boxes of cereal for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. This represents an 18% increase over the cereal donated in 2015. A huge shout-out to David and Betty Stoner of Enviro-Fix Inc. for their generosity in matching every box of cereal donated.

Attention CHLG Members
- The Chapel Hill Leads Group's goal is to raise 100+ boxes of cereal a month. If everyone brought one box of cereal to two meetings this month, the Chapel Hill Leads Group would easily exceed the 100 boxes of cereal goal.
