This Week's Speaker:
This Wednesday, 18 October is an Open Networking Meeting at the Chapel Hill Leads Group. Take this opportunity to develop one new relationship. Introduce yourself to someone attending the CHLG for the first time. Expand your CHLG network by connecting with an existing CHLG member for the first time. Make an effort to get to know them and how you can help their business grow.
See you there.
More importantly, Bring plenty of Business Cards and be ready to network!
If you missed last Wednesday's meeting ...
My website was hacked! What do I do?
Tim McCauley, President of Get Visual Business Solutions, has encountered this problem quite frequently over the past 18 months among his customers who host their own websites at Bluehost, HostGator, GoDaddy and others. He'll provide some insight into what's at the root of the problem and what business owners can do. Tim will also try and keep the geek speak at a minimum and inform in a manner everyone can understand.
... You were indeed missed.
Bring plenty of Business Cards to this Wednesday's Meeting

Did You Know:
From: Lee Schearer,
To: My Fellow Chapel Hill Leads Group Members
Throughout my business life of more than 46 years, I have often heard other business owners speak of their completion as if it is some giant entity that will swallow up their clientele and will put them out of business. However, it is my belief, backed up by witnessed actions, that the only competition you have in either your personal or business life is yourself. Most of us work throughout the Triangle Region and we all have competitors. The difference is that our competition can provide us with the incentive to "up our game". If the competition provides their clients with a superior product or service, that action provides you with a roadmap to provide your clientele with a far superior product or service than that of your competition. By out-doing the competition you are becoming a better ambassador of your chosen profession and more professional in how you engage your clientele.
When I am recruiting prospective members of the Chapel Hill leads Group, I am often asked if there are other members who are engaged in the same occupation as theirs. Will they have competition? My standard response is the belief that competition provides each and every one of us with the opportunity to become better at what we do. It challenges' us, it keeps engaged. As I truly believe, your only competition is the person in the mirror!
If you are looking for a business referral group that is dedicated to helping other small business owners succeed, I invite you to join me this Wednesday morning at the Chapel Hill Leads Group and to witness for yourself why we are the oldest business referral group throughout the Triangle Region.

Attention CHLG Members - The Chapel Hill Leads Group's goal is to raise 100+ boxes of cereal a month. If everyone brought one box of cereal to two meetings this month, the Chapel Hill Leads Group would easily exceed the 100 boxes of cereal goal.
Networking In Your Neighborhood
There are several other Triangle Area Leads Groups available. These groups meet on different days of the week and at different times of the day. They provide the business person a more focused access to the local market. Try one of these other area leads groups soon.
