Did You Know:

From: Lee Schearer,
To: My Fellow Chapel Hill Leads Group Members

"Ellis Island"

On this day November 12, 1954, Ellis Island, the gateway to America, shuts it doors after processing more than 12 million immigrants since opening in 1892. Today, an estimated 40 percent of all Americans can trace their roots through Ellis Island. The previous information was garnered from "This Day In History" @www.history.com.

So, you may ask why is Lee offering this information and how does it relate to the Chapel Hill Leads Group? If you think about it, our "Leads Group" along with the others in the region are the "gateway" to new entrepreneurs, and self-employed business owners. It is through our groups that newly self-employed business owners can chart their own destinies through associations with an array of business mentors, from those who have just started their business to those who have been successful in business for over 40 years.

Just like those 12 million immigrants who passed through Ellis Island and started their new life in the "land of opportunity" where anything is possible, so are the opportunities to those who are willing to work hard and associate with other like-minded small business owners on a regular basis. Let us act as your business mentors.

I invite you to join me this Wednesday morning and to witness the reason why the Chapel Hill Leads Group is the longest lasting business referral group, now in our 19th year, within the Triangle Region. Remember to bring a smile on your face, a patriotic song on your mind, a skip in your step and an attitude of gratitude for the opportunities available to you in our great country, America.

Respectfully,

Lee Schearer

Attention CHLG Members - The Chapel Hill Leads Group's goal is to raise 100+ boxes of cereal a month. If everyone brought one box of cereal to two meetings this month, the Chapel Hill Leads Group would easily exceed the 100 boxes of cereal goal.
